Two Kinds of Arden Lots
The classic Arden service call is the subdivision job: mature canopy over 1970s–2000s homes in established neighborhoods off Airport Road, Hendersonville Road, and the side corridors toward Skyland and Fletcher. Trees there lean over rooftops, drop limbs on driveways, and crowd the service drops — bread-and-butter removal and pruning work, usually with good access and straightforward pricing.
Then there's the other Arden: the lots along the higher ground toward the Parkway — Bent Creek, the riceville corridor edges, the roads climbing toward the escarpment — where "backyard" means forty wooded acres and the house sits on a shelf with slope above and below. Those jobs are mountain tree work in every way that matters: rigging from above, landing-zone planning on grade, crane feasibility from a road that may or may not allow it. Helene's Mark on the South Side
The south county took Helene's wind hard even where the water stayed north. Big hardwoods came down across the Arden and Skyland area, and the French Broad's south-bank tributaries ran high enough to undercut trees on the low-lying stretches near the river.
